Hi my name is Jodie and baby girl Sienna has just been diagnosed (at 12weeks!!!!) with silent reflux. She has been 5 days on Losec now 1/2 a tablet once a day, I have noticed a big difference already with her being more content and easier to settle but still having reflux pain breastfeeding! She feeds from me 1st thing in morning but not the rest of the day and she still has pain after that feed. I have been struggling for weeks/months with her trying to breastfeed (thinking she just hated me) - supplimenting with expressed milk (so she would eat). She has been gaining really good weight all through but she has associated my breast with pain now and declines me each time I try. I feel My milk is fading, I have been on motilium for a few weeks now but I need her to start the breast ASAP! Maybe she should be on a higher dose of Losec? I am at the end of my tether with her rejection of my breast and am sick of expressing!I have gone to full bottles until her tummy gets better but not showing signs of that happening yet! Has anyone had similar problems and what ended up happening? Did he/she take breast calmly in the end? How long does the Losec take to kick in with regards to baby being able to go back to the breast? Is the liquid Losec better and how is it given? I find it difficult to give tablets via syringe and end up leaving half the granules in the syringe. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
